*Excluding gas flared or recycled. Includes natural gas produced
for Gas-to-Liquids transformation.
Note: Natural gas production
data expressed in billion cubic meters (bcm) is also available at www.bp.com/statisticalreview.
Source: BP Statistical Review of World Energy, June 2014, here (Historical Data Workbook)
(United States is the world's largest producer of natural gas, producing 66.5 bcf/d or 687.6 bcm -- dry gas production -- in 2013. USA natural gas marketed production reached 70.18 bcf/d in 2013. Top 10 USA natural gas producers at year-end 2013 are: ExxonMobil, Chesapeake Energy, Anadarko, Devon Energy, Southwestern Energy Co, BP, ConocoPhillips, Encana, BHP Billiton, and Chevron, according to NGSA study. USA surpassed Russia as world's top natural gas producer in 2009. Also, please my previous post "World's Top 21 Natural Gas Producers, 2005-2010 -- BP". - D.R.)
